I don't remember them being in tins, I remember them coming in a small tube shape wrapped in foil with an outer paper wrapper, always bought them from the chemist when I went out with nana

Does anyone remember that concentrated orange juice that came in medicine bottles from the local clinic? I can taste it while I type. Did it have a name?

I don't think I ever saw a nit nurse when I was in school. I don't remember one. Only time I remember a nurse in school was when we had our TB injection in High School. If they do still have them, it'll probably be another thing that gets cut before long...

The nit nurse. Can you still get these in schools? no sign of a nit nurse at our school - a letter comes home every term and tells you to inspect your kids head. It's a pity there isn't a school dentist anymore either, it's impossible to find one these days

Nope, I never a saw school dentist either. I was lucky I managed to get in at a local practice while they had vacancies at a time when I really needed some treatment - I'd been struggling to find a practice for nearly four years up til then. As soon as I told my previous dentist my change of address they struck me off their books. My dentist now though is really good. Might not think so after Tuesday though if it's bad news.
