Hello all, Well, I eventually found it, the memorial had gone walkabout, Salford History library had no knowledge of it nor its whereabouts. The original Patricroft Congregational church situated on Shakespeare Crescent, Eccles was demolished in 1970 and a smaller church was built on its site now known as Patricroft United Reformed church. A good search resulted in the WW1 memorial being located, hopefully the church will let it see daylight once more.
All power to you and the project.

Bootneck,
Email received with picture attached, many thanks. This is fabulous news, well done on your sterling work.
Are you able to divulge any information with regards to where the memorial has been? And, I presume from your first post that you hope to have the memorial sited in the new church and if so will it be rededicated?
Cheers,
Garry
