I have found this to be very interesting Garry,
My grandparents, were licensee's with Groves and Whitnall, well before WW2... My parents, were also licensee's with G&W..from 1945 onwards..
I used to go in G&W Regent road with my father...Thanks for the memories....

Mack,
That's great news. I wil ask Debs and Jim to get a picture/scan on their next library visit. I think we willoffer the information to the Groves & Whitnall site when finished.

At Salford Local History Library now and this has been photographed. Many thanks to Mack for the info. Debs and I had gone through looking for the Salford companies but had somehow missed this one.

Cheers very much for the info Mack. I'd dearly love to get my hands on a copy of that book, and the books they have the for Manchester Regiment and Lancashire Fusiliers at the Local History Library. They would be so useful at the moment!
