Walking from Langworthy Metro about 15 minutes, from the Crescent about 25 minutes.
I would take a bus from Piccadilly to the precinct about 25minute ride then a bus to the Crescent (presume you wish to call at the Local History Library) and then a bus back in to Town.

Personally - Walking from Salford Cresent would be Quicker, to McDonalds down Broadwalk, bottom of broadwalk - Pendleton Gateway

I stand corrected.
Nice shortcut debs, I was thinking of walking right the way down to the precinct. Just shows how we see ways differently, me being a car driver and you walking everywhere.

Ta-------------i think the walk from Langworthy is what i'll do. Train gets in just after 1pm. Nothing to go in the library for at the mo. Last time i was up there was for my aunts 90th last year at the RBL-----up and back on the train on the same day, exhausting is a good word.!! Edit....on the other hand i may do the other option, there is a difference between the way a driver and a pedestrian looks at it. If i were giving directions to a driver i'd give him the bus route.

P.S... Malcolm,
If you are coming in to Piccadilly.....the 37 bus, will take you straight into Salford Precinct...
( that is, if that's where you want to go )......

Station is next to the University, its not quite near the museum.
Coming from Manchester its over the bridge just after the museum. Check the train comes into the Crescent from your end though.
