looks a doddle. train from Piccadilly at 1.22----gateway at 1.50 ;D Will there be a cuppa?.....not buying one one the train....i haven't saved enough money!!!! Probably find a 'Wetherspoons' for my tea.....is Eccles the nearest one?

There will definatley be a Brew, with you travelling so far Weatherspoons haven't a clue except in Manchester, didn't know there was one in Eccles lol Nice cafe's on the precinct though

I don't blame you about the brew on the train Broomy. Highly overpriced for a cup of dirty dishwater in my experience!! In fact, I think a cup of dirty dishwater is probably more appetising. One thing that definitely hasn't improved since the BR days is railway coffee and tea!

'Spoons in Eccles is 'The Eccles Cross'------used to be the Regent cinema I know where i am from the crescent---its just that I've always climbed the stairs and turned left, to go to the library.
Got to get to St Bartholomew's drive after tea.

You can definately use your bus pass on the Metro.....
Just get on, you dont need a ticket...

P.S....
Get off the train, walk into Piccadilly bus station.....the no 37 bus will put you off at the Salford Precinct...'Thimples "
Then you can get a bus, from the Precinct to St Bart's Drive......ALL FREE...Wont cost you a penny!!!lol

The guy at Temple Meads said there was engineering work between Piccadilly and the Crescent but the net is giving me times for trains on the 28th....daft i call it. Ill get the train............I've got 24 hours to go on the Metro, coming out of Langworthy road South and turning left onto Eccles New road is where the people at the back disappear for a second. ;D Thanks for the info on using my pass on it-----its cost me a fair few quid since i first used it.
