Walter Everall Ennion - Sergeant - M2/048566 Army Service Corps 780th Mechanical Transport Coy. Died 27/05/1917 aged 27. Commemorated at Mikra British Cemetery, Kalamaria. Son of Thomas Frederick and Clara Ennion, Regent Hotel, Regent Road, Salford. Walter worked as a lorry driver before he enlisted 08/02/1915 aged 24. He lived with his sister Gertrude Richardson at 32 Vere St, Salford. Walter had four brothers Tom, Fred, Harry and Charles and two sisters Annie and Gertrude. Walter was burnt to death when a candle was knocked over in his tent while he was asleep.
