In an effort to get Walter Hearon, 353047, Manchester Regiment, added to the CWGC database we have today submitted the last piece of evidence (death certificate) to the In From The Cold Project. Walter died on the 9th January 1919 due to head wounds sustained whilst holding the line on the 27th November 1917 near Ypres. He was buried in Weaste Cemetery. A page from his pension record. 1911 at 65 West High St Salford Thomas Edmond Hearon 62 Born: Tetsworth, Oxfordshire Elizabeth Hearon 56 Ellen Sarah Hearon 30 Walter Hearon 29 Born: Lincoln, Lincolnshire Sydney Edward Hearon 11 Edith Ward 24 Born: Salford. Boarder, Teacher In Elementary School Looks like he married Edith Ward Walter was also awarded the silver war badge. Badge Number: 413091 His brother Sydney Edward Hearon also served world war one. Cheshire Regiment - 82400 his service papers are on line. Ben
