C GARLICK Cannot identify. There is a Sergeant Charles Garlick (201192) 5th Lancashire Fusiliers registered at 5 Coburg St, Broughton. I cannot see a death for this man. Hi Gary is it possible this man may have died of his wounds some time later? His medal card index show he received the silver war badge, so will take it he was injured out of the war? Name: C. 1927&1929 directories have him at 2, Coburg St Lr Broughton Salford 1933 directory has him at 3 Polfield gradens, Prestwich.
So would he have his name on a memorial that long after WW1?

So would he have his name on a memorial that long after WW1? Ben I have read stories of a few men who survived the war coming home and finding their names on a local memorial. I have never heard of a name being added so late, especially when his name is inscribed in the middle of the other names.

the memorial was unveiled on 8th may 1920,c.garlick had to have died before that date,the initial could be a G,i have seen memorials where the C and G look the same
