Thomas Joseph Phillips
Born 26 Aug 1919
Place Weaste, Salford
Death 03 Nov 1941 aged 22yrs
Parents Edward (WW! Veteran) and Florence Phillips
He was on the HM Trawler Ouzel which was a minesweeper, it had a mine dropped on it 1/2 mile out at sea from Mablethorp.
I found it on the war graves and there is a picture of his grave and I have photos of him, he was a merchant seaman first then went into Navy when they brought in the Trawlers.
We actually visited his grave at Scatho Cemetary Grimsby when we were at Cleethorps, very much a fate meant to happen as we had booked before I found his definite information, it was the most emotional moment I didn't expect.
