Again Garry this one was in the same drawer as the other one, so no more info, but it is at Salford Local History Library, so maybe (although very unlikely) they may have more info

The City of Salford Air Raid Wardens and Fire Guard Corps memorial.
One name I could make out:
Name: STEELE, JAMES Initials: J Nationality: United Kingdom Rank: Civilian Regiment/Service: Civilian War Dead Age: 49 Date of Death: 23/12/1940 Additional information: Senior Air Raid Warden; of 25 Bigland Street. Husband of Annie Steele. Died at Bigland Street, Everard Street. Casualty Type: Civilian War Dead Reporting Authority: SALFORD, COUNTY BOROUGH
Don't remember there being any notation of the location on the photo, but presumably would have originally been in a 'Civic' building? Never found any reference to it anywhere else so far. Think I have a copy of the photo above at home, so I'll see if I can get the other names. If not, it'll be a trip to the Local History Library sometime.

This article was found in an Australian newspaper, 20th June 1942. It must refer to this memorial? Attachments:
