Anybody know of a list of dates for WW2 Air Raids in Manchester and surrounding areas?

In terms of Salford, the worst were 22nd and 23rd December 1940, which were some of the heaviest in terms of loss of life. There were a number of other smaller raids between March 11th and June 2nd 1941, but these involved fewer casualties.
I'm pretty sure there are a number of books which have been written about the Blitz in Manchester and Salford, and I'll check some of them to see if there are any detailed lists next time I'm at the Local History Library (which will be next Tuesday, 18th Jan), and post further on what I find. Hope this helps, but if you need anything, feel free to drop me a line.

Jim,
Ask to see the ARP books (they are under lock and key).

There is an excellent book called 'Luftwaffe over Manchester - the Blitz Years 1940 - 1944' by Peter JC Smith. It's available from Salford Local History library and also on the internet.
Hope this helps Pete
