Do any of these exist for the Ordsall velvet dye works?
The velvet dye works in Ordsall was J & JM Worrall Ltd, the largest specialised velvet dyeworks in the world. My father worked for them for the 35 years before they closed and wrote a history of the company, unpublished. There is a Roll of Honour for the company with, I'd say, about 250 names on it. I have it on a CD ROM published by GGB. Some of the guys, who obviously must have survived the war, are mentioned as colleagues in Dad's account.
