Thats very true Gary!, and yes I think it was Worrels, not too sure, all the family were described as working in velvet dying jobs. All lived in Rudman Street , Sunnyside street, Isaac Street area. hiya mike what were their names,i have a list of those who served from worralls mack

L/cpl 21443 george berry enlisted 3-11-15 aged 23 1st KORL velvet dresser at worralls 107 sunnyside st,salford married miss ellen blair at st,barts salford on 23-12-1911 wounded in the left leg by a bullet,on 11-4-17 rejoined his battalion on 19-5-17 granted 10 days leave from 18th to 28th june 1917 rejoined his battalion wounded in the right leg by a shell on 12-10-17,causing a compound fracture of the femur,died in the 61st casualty clearing station,on 14-10-17

Mack, That is one of Mike's.  George Berry - Lance Corporal - 21443 Kings Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment) 1st Battalion. Died of Wounds 13/10/1917 aged 25. Commemorated at Dozinghem Military Cemetery IX. I. 8. Son of George and Sarah Berry, husband of Ellen (Blair), 107 Sunnyside St, Salford. George was a velvet dresser before he enlisted in November 1915 and embarked for France March 1916. Promoted to Lance corporal March 1917. He was wounded 11/04/1917 (GSW left leg) at the Battle of Arras and was wounded again at Passendale 13/10/1917 (shrapnel right leg), George died the same day at Dozinghem casualty clearing station and was buried there.
