Ho wow! love these!!!.
Shame the last headmistress didnt feel the school was important enough to say goodbye to properly, apparently there wasnt enough funds??, All souls managed it well enough!, and that did not have the history Langworthy had.

Debs and I started going through all the photo cabinets there a few weeks ago, needless to say we still have the majority to do!

So sad that Langworthy road School has now been demolished. It is another lost tangible link to our living memory past. I often when passing the school used to think of the people that had military links with a place that was never ever intended for such an eventuality. Even though I was born during the war, just a few minuets walk from the school it wasn't until I was about 12 that I found out it's full history.
