I posted sometime ago on Timms & Hoskins and I am pleased to announce that James Henry Hoskins photo as found a new home with his grandson.
I too have been given a new photo of my great Aunt Bella born in Salford 1897 and went to live in Nottingham with her Uncle John & Aunt Annie Timms nee Atkinson. She is with a soldier with the cap badge of the Manchester Regiment taken in Nottingham by Alan Rufford Nottingham.
Her husband Percy Dowlman 1894 Nottingham was in the Navy Reserve. As Thomas Timms the youngest brother enlisted in Chester and was in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers (killed at Ypres) I have ruled him out. George Henry 1881 was in the Lancashire Fusiliers then the RE. That leaves John Timms born 1890 can any one advise if he was in the Manchester Regiment.
Can anyone find him for me.

Eileen, I can't find John Timms in the Manchester Regiment. I did come across the following info on the Absent Voters List for Salford South:
George Henry Timms, 20 Oxford Street (Regent Ward), Service no. 17007, 17th Lancashire Fusiliers
Thomas Albert Timms (same address) 400586 Pte., 797 Area Employment Company, 6th Labour Corps
Hope this helps Pete
