The Fusilier Museum in Bury is holding a special exhibition bringing together all eighteen Victoria Crosses awarded to Lancashire Fusiliers during the First World war, more than any other British Infantry Regiment. This has been made possible by the loan of 8 Victoria Crosses from Lord Ashcroft’s collection at the Imperial War Museum, London and a number of private owners. The exhibition will open to the public on Saturday 6th October until Thursday 13th December. We are also holding a special talk by Lord Ashcroft’s outgoing Curator who has helped assemble the world’s largest collection of Victoria Crosses over 30 years. The talk will take place at 7pm on Friday 5th October at the museum in the Minden Suite, the bar will also be open throughout the event. Tickets are £12.95 £9.95 and include a special preview of the 18 Victoria Crosses exhibition before the talk. Tickets can be booked over the phone (0161 763 8963) or at the museum front desk. www.fusiliermuseum.com/events
