I have been reading a 1950s history on the priory church of St Sebastian, Charlestown, Pendleton and apparently there was a memorial stained glass window erected in 1921 and a book listing all the men of the parish who fell in action. St Sebastian's Priory Church was demolished in 1976 and the present 'hut' erected in its place.
I went through the presbytery a couple of years ago in my role as diocesan archivist and there is no sign of the memorial book. Has anybody ever heard anything else about this?
