Salford Remembers, Salford’s programme to commemorate the centenary of World War One, will be holding the first of a series of 4 masterclass workshops on: Tuesday 23rd February (1 - 4pm) at Ordsall Hall These masterclass workshops are funded through our Heritage Lottery Fund Award and are intended for community groups and local organisations delivering or planning activity in Salford to commemorate the centenary of World War One. The theme of our next masterclass workshop will be ‘Innovative and contemporary ways of commemorating the First World War Centenary’. There will be two guest speakers looking at different ways to commemorate the centenary, in particular two local projects from Salford. The workshop is free but as places are limited, booking is essential. Priority will be given to applicants who will put into practice the learning from the workshop through community activity which will add value and reach to the citywide commemorations. If you would like to request a place on the workshop, please email Jennifer.Doherty@scll.co.uk with your contact details, details of any groups you represent and brief reasons why would like to attend by Tuesday 16th February. We will confirm whether we are able to offer you a place by Wednesday 17th February.
