Hi there my name is Simon Rumble and i am the great nephew of Mr Frank Woolmington R.A.F, his daughter Margaret Redding-nee Woolmington asked if i would make some enquiries into any more information regarding her dad and the Beaufort Crew. He only saw my auntie once on leave as a baby before being missing in action on a test mission I googled his name last week and to our amazement through your forum saw lots of info and photos regarding the Scout Hut at Swinton and i think the main war memorial in Swinton. When i talked to my Auntie Margaret last night she suggested i get in touch as she wanted to know more about her dad who was tragically taken from us at the age of 28 and his body was never recovered.
She also mentioned that she would like to get in touch with the gentleman from Canada who forwarded the photograph of the Beaufort Crew, as my uncles best buddy was a gentleman called Eddie from Canada. My great uncle is said to of said that he would of trusted Eddie with his life. If it is possible for you to contact the gentleman who donated the photo and ask to email us we would be very grateful. Any other information you have would also be fantastic records, photos etc as obviously the ones my auntie has are few and far between.
Yours gratefully
Margaret Redding nee Woolmington Simon Rumble simonrumble@yahoo.co.uk

Simon, I have managed to find my correspondence with the gentleman who sent us the image. I will email him and ask him to contact you if possible. In the meantime here is another image that was sent during the email exchange in early 2013. I haven't previously posted this image due to the graininess.

You're welcome. A few more bits that you may not have. This entry in the British Postal Service Appointment Book (1940) is most likely to be your Frank. Probate
