Hello, My dad recently gave me a shoe box full of old family photo's I found 11 pictures of men in their uniform. I know that a few of them are my nana's dad, who i think was with the Manchester Regt. There are a few of them, who we are unsure of who they are! but all these men lived in the Salford Area. i think some are from WW1 and i think one of the men were in WW2. Just thought i would share these photo's with you, and if anyone can give any information on them, that would be great. 1) 2)

Sorry....just found this last one. I know the lady in this photo is Gertrude Wilmott, she never married so i think the man must be a brother. This family lived in Rochdale.

I am quite sure that pictures 1 and 2 are men of the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment. The first picture shows three Lance-Corporals, two have the 2 year good conduct stripe on their lower left sleeve.
I think the man in the middle of picture one is in the middle of the backrow on picture two.

I would say pictures 3 and 4 are both Manchesters, picture 3 - shoulder title, picture 4 - hat badge (after cleaning up picture a little).

Picture 5 - not a lot to go from, but I wonder how old the two lads sat on the right are?
Picture 6 - Soldier wearing sun helmet (picture may have been taken in Egypt?) Could this be the same man in picture 4?
