3 more births after these, I have searched for his service and pension records with no luck,
any help greatly appreciated tony.
just found 1891 census living in Salford

update, csm G h Marshall enlisted 21-9-1914 and discharged 27-2-1919 ,is number 200696 was issued in march 1917 so more than likely the number he went over with in 1917, if we have the same man in the Boer war that could account for him becoming a csm in ww1,
