1911 census - Thomas was a 12 year old schoolby, living at 684 Bolton Rd, Pendlebury, with his parents Edwin and Mary, and sister Norah. Thomas attended the Salford Technical Institute in 1914 and 1915. He is remembered on his family's gravestone in Swinton Cemetery.

are there any memorials for these two places,eccles rugby club still exists but the church has long gone. pte 2463 charles,percy wild "avondale"temple drive,swinton enlisted in the 1/6th manchesters in august 1914 with his younger brother oscar worked as a draughtsman at mather+platts killed in action 7-8-15 aged 24 played for eccles rugby club and swinton cricket club,member of trinity cong church,sang in the choir oscar became an officer in the manchesters and survived the war,but their brother samuel stanley wild was killed in 1916 with the royal fusiliers,charles+samuels names appear on the lychgate at st.peters swinton mack
