Amazing work! My great uncle Pte J Burton is listed on 1917 8 he was Salford Pals, 12 Platoon, D Company 15th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers. I think that Pte F Burton on 1916 26 may be a relative as well?

If a picture was published in the Eccles Journal RoH it means that there will be an article in the paper of that year. Thanks Ben, Not only have you left information for mikep but you have found the report of the death for a man who didn't die and has his name inscribed on at least two memorials. Robert Burton is the man. Read more here. |
