To mark the seventy-first anniversary of the Manchester Blitz, join us for a 20-minute walk and talk around our Main Exhibition Space to explore the theme of the Second World War Blitz on Britain. See artefacts from the Second World War including a Dennis Fire Fighting Trailer Pump from Oldham, a Fire Watcher’s Shelter and a barrage balloon. Learn about the impact of air raids on local citizens and other British civilians including Roy Taylor who witnessed the dramatic effects of the Blitz alongside his grandparents in Salford. *An extended session on Sunday 18 December will include the opportunity to get hands on with real Second World War artefactsand learn more about life on the home front.
