There is a Frank Allen listed on the following memorials: 1. Boothstown Royal British Legion 2. Men of Worsley Memorial Plaque 3. St. Mark's Worsley War Memorial I have been unable thus far to identify this man, and sadly there are no other clues than the name to go on. Closest I have found is one man but the only links I can find are Wigan, nothing to link with Worsley. Any help anyone???

Addidional details that might be of interest: FRANK BERNARD ALLEN was a native of my hometown Macclesfield. He was born in 1897 and at the time of the 1901 Census was living at 11 Church Street, Macclesfield with his parents and younger sister Edith May Allen. At some point they moved to the Manchester area and the 1911 Census confirms the family living at 468 Worsley Road, Barton Upon Irwell. He enlisted at Manchester but quite why he joined the 1/4 Royal Scots I'm not sure... (this was a Territorial Force battalion). His name is not featured on the Macclesfield War Memorial... best regards Steve
