I have been looking trying to find a Thomas Jennings who served with the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment who is believed to have moved from Manchester to Salford. I have found two matches and the number of coincidences are beyond belief. The 1918 AVL shows one Thomas lives at 8 Oldfield Buildings - Private 27591, 8th KORL. In the same AVL there is another Thomas living at 9 Jones St - Private 27593, 8th KORL We have two Thomas Jennings from the same City serving in the same Regiment and Battalion as each other and their service numbers are 2 digits away from each other. I cannot find a service record or pension for either so looked at their medal cards. They had both previously served with the East Lancs Regiment and their service numbers are within 33 digits of each other. Spooky? Or is there a simple explanation?
