i was unable to attend last night , but Graham posted this on Facebook, a big well done mate,
Graham Walker Ladies and Gents.... We have just had a fantastic night in the company of PENDLETON Royal British Legion, SALFORD. Derek H and his team have worked wonders to give us all a great evenings entertainment. His worship the Mayor of SALFORD and the Mayoress were in attendance all evening and give their warmest thanks to the organisers, the artists, and most of all....The Good People of SALFORD who have raised this evening, for The BILLY UNSWORTH Project, very close to.................... FOUR THOUSAND POUNDS !!!!! . The final figure will be known early next week, and we will publish it....That puts our total, to date, around the £6000 mark......Our target is, of course, £10,000........Well Done to Everybody concerned.

Some of the raffle prizes donated by well wishers. The auction included a couple of signed balls from Salford one of which had been used in the last ever game to be played at the Willows, a couple of signed footballs from Manchester United, a hi-fi system and numerous signed pictures. Attachments:

I have now been told that the club have agreed to round the amount raised up to exactly £4000.00. Not bad considering the current financial climate.
