Barnett Tomlinson born Salford enlisted Salford Corporal Lancashire Fusiliers 18th battalion 10754 died 1/6/18 CWG Panel 32 to 34 Pozieres Memorial Barnett (Barney) Tomlinson lived at 119 Ellor St Pendleton .Attended St Thomas's Church and day school..Worked for Salford Tramways for 12 years, from trolley boy to conductor. He played football for the Tramways club, Seedley Rangers and Mandlebergs work team, but declined the offer of a trial for Manchester City. He was wounded by shrapnel on 2/7/16 aged 25 .He was later killed in action. His brother L/Sergeant Charles Keeton Tomlinson was killed in action 7/8/15 aged 27.(From Gods Own 1st Salford Pals)

the george evans listed in the clerks dept is the wrong man,this is george
L/cpl 2118 george evans served 4yrs in the manchesters before the war and rejoined them on the outbreak,worked in the town clerks dept,educated manchester grammar,vice captain of marple rugby club,lived with his brother at the dairy on duchy st,seedley,married to ruth,parents lived at grosvenor villas,frodsham,DOWs on the hospital ship on 16-6-15,buried on mudros,aged 25,native of seedley

Their child, Albert, is shown in the 1911 census as living with the Walker family at 34 Guide St.

This may be Alice, it may explain why Albert is living with the Walker family.
