There's a Stephen Daly, death registered in the January to March quarter of 1917 in the Salford Registration District. He was aged 37 when he died so born c.1880. Could this be the correct man? (GRO Reference: Vol , Page 204) No sign of a burial in the church records that have been transcribed onto Lancashire On-Line Parish Clerks as yet. Lancashire BMD doesn't have deaths indexes for Salford yet, so I haven't been able to narrow it down to a subdistrict yet. If you think this may be the correct man, I'm happy to order a copy of the death certificate from the GRO to verify his exact date of death, location of death and cause of death, if this would be helpful. Just let me know. Maybe someone might then be able to check the Salford cemeteries for a burial??

Stephen & Mary Ann Daly nee Quin from 1909 at 8 Sedan St Clarendon Road Salford. I would try ST. Joseph's cemetery, Moston. A good chance he be catholic and buried there if not in any of the Salford cemeteries
