I was out and about in Fishponds (Bristol) on Friday when i spotted the ,local memorial in the park----i was struck with the similarity with the pose the soldier is holding with that of the 'Shouting Fusilier' on the crescent. Only an observation.

Broomy, I see the resemblance. Here is an older picture of the memorial. Attachments:

Well done Shred----i never thought of doing that. The wind had blown the wreaths off the base-----i knew my son was taking a photo but i thought he'd had waited till i was out of shot!

Actually Broomy, I think you being in shot is all the more appropriate - at least it shows the memorial and the wreaths are cared about by some of us.

well i have never heard of yobs taking away broken concrete, the base as been repaired before ,and looking at it not very well not enough depth , its just been skimmed over, sharp sand and cement,or fine granite (grano) and cement. sorry blaming yobs for the base step does not work for me,
and looking at the top photo again it looks like the base step as been repaired , back left.
