not sure were to post this, i was looking at a post on soldiers bured in AGECROFT CEMETERY cannot find it at the moment. thought this could be of interest.

The auction is for the British War Medal and Victory Medal pair and plaque
17883 PRIVATE HAROLD SMITH
THE 8th BATTALION KING'S OWN (ROYAL LANCASTER REGIMENT)
who died on August 5th 1916
The medals each come with a length of original silk ribbon, about eight inches long each,
and in fairly good condition for their age, and the
buyer will also receive the A4 size casualty print out seen in the photograph,
as well as the A4 size copy of the recipient's medal index card, also shown,
hich confirms that these two medals were his full entitlement for the First World War.
Also included is the information from Soldiers Died in the Great War, also pictured.
The plaque is unpolished and has not been drilled with a hole, as some plaques are.
reverse of the plaque is also unpolished and has nothing written or engraved on it.
It is likely that Harold Smith died of wounds after he was brought back from the front,
as he was buried in Salford, Manchester.
All of the photographs are of the actual medals,
ribbons and plaque that the buyer will receive.
Some pictures may have been taken in artificial light,
and others may have been taken in natural daylight.
