i have also got a query...if you would please help?
again finding my past i came across a james wiseman living in cumberland...birth 1781 approx: born ireland. wife jane. ( bourke again irish) they had about 6/7 children ...seemed to marry in limerick 1803. first child david, born 1803 approx. and a mary seemed to be the parents of lundy wiseman who was baptisted in cumberland 1838. then they all dissappeared. james is down as a shipwright. he turns up again aged 67 in wigan and again in greengate aged 70. down as retired. on the BDM. it says not registered from 1837to 1851.
the more i look at these papers the more i get mixed up..

Hi Katie. I've not much experience personally with Irish records, but I do have a PDF booklet produced by the Irish National Archives, which gives useful information about Irish Genealogy. Unfortunately it is too large for the limits on the forums, so I've been unable to send it to you. If you wish to PM or email me your email address I'll send you a copy of it. I'm still poking around the names and dates you've mentioned above, and hopefully may be able to turn something up. Will keep you informed of progress on that.

I've sent that to you Katie, and we'll amend your post above so that your email address doesn't remain on public display for the spammers to get hold of.
