Hi, I'm newly on this board. Hoping to visit this memorial in November, but I see the grave reference (K 126) does not match the sectional plan for the cemetery. Can someone help me with the location? It's a tenuous link right now: I found my grandmother (Margaret Rowlinson, nee Craig) visiting this soldier's mother (Edith Patience Leather Aspell) in the 1911 census; two generations earlier, her husband's grandfather was baptised Nelson Royle Rowlinson - possibly his mother's maiden name. More searching to be done. It seems important to me to visit this grave while in England, along with other Manchester - Salford area addresses related to my ancestors. Thanks in advance!

Hi Royleseeker, Welcome to the forum. I have highlighted section K on the plan below. I have also included an image of the grave. Do you require the information on the gravestone that stands behind the CWGC grave? If so I can call at the cemetery and take a picture.

Thanks so much for such a quick reply and for solving the location; greatly appreciated! Don't know what plan/map I was looking at, but yours is better! I do have the other gravestone details already, thanks. I should have added, in case anyone is wondering.....the maiden name of this soldier's mother was Royle. Edith Patience Royle. My comments should make more sense now.

Hello, Edith Patience brought up my grandmother (her niece - a Royle) after her sad loss. I guess that this makes Edith Patience is my great aunt. I too would like to visit the grave and I am very grateful that Salford has honoured their dead so well. Regards.
