T Brassington Thomas Aged 38 went to Trafford Rd School, attended the Salford Central Mission and worked for William Plevin & Sons Liverpool St. He lived with his wife Eva and five children at 20 Nansen St.
G Charles George Aged 32 , he was born in Pendleton, lived with his wife and four children at 41 Gold St and worked for Pendleton Co-op Society.
J G P Cole James Gregory Percy He was born in Paddington Middlesex , his home address was Manor Park Essex , but he enlisted in Salford.
J Grady James Aged 24 was born in Stockport , his parents were Mr and Mrs M Grady of 280 Liverpool St Salford . His sister Mrs Boweres was at the same address. James had served 5 years in the Navy before the war.
J Graham James Aged 32 , lived with his wife Emmie at 50 Rigby St ,and was a carter for a firm in Old Trafford.
H Healey Herbert Aged 29 was the son of John and Sarah Ellen of the Britannia Inn, Bolton Rd I-O-H. He worked as a telegraphist at the GPO in Manchester, and was on the roll of honour of St Marys RC Church Swinton.

L B Lee must be Louis Benjamin Tee Aged 30 was born in Bombay India. He was the son of Mary Tee of 26 Ridgway St Moss Side and the late Frederick , and lived with his wife Elizabeth at 6 Watford Avenue Rusholme.
J Meakin James He lived with his wife at 9 Deyne St Seedley. He worked for R Peel dyers , Meadow d Lower Boughton.
J H Molineux James Henry Aged 25 , was the son of John Molineux of 7 Eliza St Liverpool St and he attended St Johns RC Cathedral. He was an Iron moulder at Bradfords Iron works Broad St for 8 years.
J H Parkinson James Henry Aged 32 , he was the son of Edward and Mary Ellen. He worked at Seedley Bleachworks for over 12 years and lived with his wife Alice at 46 Harmsworth St.
F Whittle Frank Aged 24 was born in Pendleton, the son of David and Ann of 213 High St, and attended Seedley Congregational Church. His widow Nellie remarried (Johnson) and lived at 10 Cook St Whit Lane.
D Williamson Daniel Aged 30 was born in Manchester. He was connected with Gravel Lane Wesleyan Chapel and had been a member of the Boys Brigade . For 14 years he worked as a calico finisher for Messrs R W Jones of Broughton Bridge. His wife Gertrude and 3 children were at 13 Brighton St Higher Broughton.

S Archer Solomon Aged 21 was born in Sale and lived with his parents at 11 Unicorn St Ordsall. He was a keen boxer and worked for Illingworth, Ingham & Co ,timber merchants Trafford Park.
E Ashley Ernest Aged 22 was born in Manchester. His parents were J W and Sarah E Ashley of 199 Crook Lane Winsford Cheshire.
A Brown Albert Aged 20 was born in Hull and lived with his parents Henry and Ann Maria at 59 Robert Hall St, they later moved to 26 Trafford St. He worked for Illingworth, Ingham and Co of Trafford Park. On 1st of July he was last seen with Lt Hampson , whom he had described as a very kind and brave officer , when on leave in June.
J Burns James He lived with his wife at 5 Jessamine St Lower Broughton. A letter to his mother in Russell St off Silk St from the Red Cross ,said he had been wounded in the knee, it was afterwards reported that he died of wounds.
J Charnock James His mother lived at 5 Crown St. He worked for Messrs Dellagana Greengate and attended Gravel Lane Chapel. Killed in action with 11th battalion Lancashire Fusiliers
W H Cottam William Henry Aged 45 was born in Manchester ad worked for Beatty brothers. His wife Catherine lived at Barlow St Collyhurst Rd .

E Duffy Edward Aged 44 was born in Wolverhampton. He was a guard on the Manchester tramways, and his wife Margaret lived at 29 Devonshire St ,Pendleton.
E Dunning Edward Aged 22 lived with his wife at 13 Torrens St I-O-H. He was a miner at Knowles Pendleton Colliery, attended St Johns Church and had been a member of the Church Lads Brigade. He enlisted in the Royal Irish Rifles in January 1915 and soon transferred to the 15ths.
H Emley Harry Was born in Broughton,lived with his wife in Monton and was a member of Winton Cricket Club. He worked for over 20 years for Woolleys Ltd at Victoria Bridge. The Red Cross wrote to his sister and brother in law with a statement from Sgt Eaton. H had seen Harrys body in the German second line, but because shrapnel was falling like hail, it could not be recovered.
W Fox William Lived with his wife and 3 children at 24 Gun St. He worked for Cunliff & Croom Engineers.
J Gemmell John He was born in Ayr Scotland , his home address was Lochwinnoch Renfrew, and he enlisted in Manchester.
G Harding George Aged 26 was the son of the late George and Mary Esther Harding . He was born in Manchester and lived at 27 Medlock St Manchester.

G Hopwood George Was born in Preston and was a fireman at the Ship Canal Companys Mode Wheel railway depot. In August 1916 his wife was living at 32 King Edward St Patricroft.
T Humphreys Thomas Was born in North Wales Rhosneigr and lived at 305 Moorside Rd Sinton. He worked a Stuttards Albert Mill Swinton.
C Jackson Charles Aged 26 was born in Pendleton and his sister Mrs Wrigley lived at 9 Goodwin St . He was a Hydraulic packer at Stevenon &Co Peter St Manchester.
J Knowles John Aged 22 lived with his parents at 33 George St Pendleton.
E Midgley Ernest Aged 36 was born in Miles Platting and lived with his wife Jessie and 2 children at 6 Bent Lanes Davyhulme.

He attended St Annes church and was a collier at Pendleton Pits. At the time of his death , his son Private Walter Buckley was in hospital suffering from head wounds.

F Dolman Frank 17923 Aged 17 lived with his parents at 4 Broom St Swinton and worked at Fry, Binns & Co Mill Swinton. He enlisted in the 19th Lancashie Fusiliers (3rd Salford) at Swinton Public Hall at the age of 16 , transferring to the 15th in late 1915 attached to the machine gun section. His older brother Charles had breakfast with Frank at about 6;30am on 1st July. In a letter home on the 5th Charles still had no news. Their father Thomas had asked that Frank be returned to the UK as he was to young, and on the 31st of August the Adjutant Captain Armitage wrote to say Frank was missing." Your letter was received only a day or two before the great push commenced and it was therefore impossible to do anything.

R Evans Richard 10241 He was born in Manchester and lived with his wife at 47 Marple St Pendleton.
P M Fensome Peter Morrell Aged 19 , had been a member of the Boy Scouts connected with Stowell Memorial Church , and worked for Larmuth & co Engineers Unwin St. His mother lived at 2 Barker St Cross Lane. Peter received a gun shot wound in the leg in June 1916, and his friend Sgt Bill Dutton thought that he would miss the assault and be safe. However as the Battalion was forming up on 30th June " I saw Peter coming along and we put our arms around each other I said "What made you come back Peter. He said they were clearing the hospitals for the coming battle ,and if you weren't to badly wounded , well you volunteered to come back. He said he wanted to go over the top with his company.
