Trinity Thiepval H Emley Harry Was born in Broughton, lived with his wife in Monton and was a member of Winton Cricket Club. He worked for over 20 years for Woolleys Ltd at Victoria Bridge. The Red Cross wrote to his sister and brother in law with a statement from Sgt Eaton. H had seen Harrys body in the German second line, but because shrapnel was falling like hail, it could not be recovered. Wendy Hi, I'm a medal collector and bought Harry's Great War Victory Medal at a junk shop in Malpas, Cheshire many years ago for £5. It was only when I got it home and did a search on the internet that I found it was quite a significant medal due to it being to a first day of the Somme casualty. Ian
