Sorry Shred How stupid of me to forget that..Yes he did live in Salford.He lived either in Pendleton or Ordsall.I think he worked in an abbatior,which makes me think of Ordsall...

and a pension record for this George Haywood: George Heywood Estimated Birth Year: abt 1896 Age at enlistment: 19 Birth Parish: Pendlebury Birth County: Lancashire Document Year: 1915 Regimental Number: 13192 Regiment Name: 1st Salford Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers Number of images: 6 Address: 365 Bolton Rd, Pendlebury Occupation: Labourer Attested: 06/01/1915 Discharged: 07/05/1915 (Not likely to become an efficient soldier).
The absent voters list did not yield any results.
