Great work Mack. From memory didn't you query these men on IFC project? I will take a look but if you can't find them I doubt I will get any further.

Mack,
Neither of these men are on CWGC, I have sorted by dates and then by regiments without success.
I suppose J Burton's death may not be attributable to the war, J Manning is a mystery.

theres a third soldier, but i eventually found him,he is pte 19826 thomas, linley southern, grenadier guards,he was discharged from the army as physically unfit in 1917,his condition was stated as VDH[valvular disease of the heart]caused during his service in france in 1917,he died in salford on 20-1-1919,if his death certificate gives the cause of death as heart disease, then hes entitled to war grave status, hes not listed on the CWGC,he has a pension record under the mistrascribed name of thomas sinley southern, does anyone want to forward his records for inclusion.

Mack,
I have received an email from Terry Denham. They have not come across this man, he feels that there is a good case. He has directed me to a thread on the GWF, just off to take a look. Will keep you posted.
