Hi I have just found this site whilst researching my great Grandfather (Frank Dawson) who was killed on the Somme in 1916. He joined the 12th Btn Manchester Reg and lived at 167 Ordsal Lane.
Looks like a really interesting site.

Welcome spadaman.
We have not found your Grandfather's name on any of the memorials, we have a long way to go before we finish. We will let you know if we find anything.

Hi Spadaman. Would your grandfather have been Lance Sergeant Frank Dawson (4333), 12th Bn. Manchester Regiment, born Salford, enlisted Bury, Killed in Action 7 July 1916. Husband of Elizabeth Dawson of 167 Ordsall Lane, Salford?? Although we haven't found his details on any of the memorials we have done so far, as Garry says, it is still very much a work in progress, and I'll keep my eyes open for any mentions of him.
