Hi, Chris barron (nee Truesdale) from Australia. Hoping someone out there can come up with some information on the Truesdale family in Salford during the early 1900's, especially my great uncle William Truesdale who joined the Salford Pals and died at the Somme aged 23 on 1/7/1916. He came from Northern Ireland originally and may have worked in the cotton mills.

Hi Chris, and welcome to SWARM. Thanks very much for joining us. I'm sure you'll find plenty of interest here. Debbie (bomber) and I will be at Salford Local History Library tomorrow (Tuesday) so there's a chance we'll find some info on William Truesdale there. I'm sure our other members will help with info also. Best wishes, Jim
