1376 richard grimshaw. 1st manchesters died of wounds at jerusalem on 23rd december 1918 24 gate st,swinton there seems to be an error with his date of death, jerusalem was captured in december 1917,the turks had been cleared out of palestine completely so this man couldnt have been wounded at any time in 1918,if his date of death is correct, then he could only have died of sickness Mack has raised and interesting question; When did Richard's death occur? This report was printed in 1916. This article confirms that Richard died of sickness on the 23rd December 1918.
