the broughton copper companies records are at birmingham city archives works.
nearly every building in britain had a fitting made by this company,all the hot+cold water pipes and the fittings,were made by this company,it still exists as the yorkshire copper tube co.at kirby liverpool

He was in action at Ypres , Hill 60, Vimy Ridge , The Somme , Arras , Passchendale and in the Retreat and Advance of 1918 durind which he gave his life at Cambrai on November 2nd. Albert Newbrook Corporal Lancs Fusiliers 280221 Disembodiment 13/3/1919 A serving soldier at the outbreak of war he proceeded to Egypt in August 1914 and later to the Dardanelles where he took part in the 1st landing at Gallipoli and in the 1st and 2nd battles of Krithia. In March 1917 he was drafted to France and was in action in the engagement at Ypres ,Cambrai and Nieuport and was wounded at Givenchy in April 1918. He was invalided home and after receiving treatment was subsequently demobbed in March 1919.He holds the 1914-15 star general service and victory medals 13 Wheathill St. Salford
