Hi everyone, I'm living in Belgium and the Great War is about 40 years a passion (or must I say 'an obsession'). I've visited the most of the CWG Cemeteries in Belgium and the North of France, also Memorials, several events and also the other Cemeteries (Belgian, French, American and German). In this period I've met a lot of Family Members of fallen soldiers in these countries, and with some of them a very close friendship. I try also to guide them trough the administration and research in Belgium where the soldiers were K.I.A. and to research the spots in wich the Battles took place. At this moment I'm helping out some Familie Members of fallen Soldiers during the Battle of Messines and the 3rd Battle of Ypres, also known as the Battle of Passchendaele. I'm also a Volunteer for the Remembering event in October 2017 @ Tyne Cot Cemetery in Zonnebeke (Belgium). There will be a special event on the Cemetery to Remember the Battle of Passchendaele. It may be possible that I will try to obtain more information about the Soldiers of Salford if it's needed in my research, and hope that someone of you can help me in my research. You can Always contact me also, if you need help in your research of a relative who felt in Belgium during the Great War. Patrick

Hi Patrick,
Thank you for joining the forum and your excellent introduction.
Also, thank you for your offer to help. Please feel free to ask for help with regards to Salfords' servicemen/women whenever the need may occur and we will endeavour to pass on anything that we can find locally.
Keep your passion burning.
Best wishes,
Garry
