I found your website and forum whilst researching the fate of William & Leonard. They would have been my father-in-law's 1st cousins, once removed. They both died with weeks of each other at the Battle of the Somme. I found some fascinating information about William and Leonard on your web and forum pages, so thanks for all the information posted by other members. I hope to find other links with the Tasker, though I would prefer a happier ending to any stories I find! William & Leonard came from Patricroft and their mother was Elizabeth Ann Tasker, which ironically is now my name, though through marriage! There seem to have been Taskers living in the Patricroft, Eccles area for many years.
