Thomas was born at Hindley Green, Wigan and the 1911 census shows his mother Annie Bond living at 3 Garden Lane, Boothstown, with two sons, Hugh and Joseph. I am struggling to find Thomas in the 1901 or 1911 census. Alex F Miranda was executed by a firing squad at Shepton Mallet prison on the 30th May 1944. In 1988 the family of Alex asked the U.S. Army to review the case asking that the charge be reduced to manslaughter. Read more..
