I have just realised that we have seen this memorial. If you read the wording in the book "..... and out of these 21 men had been killed or died of wounds. Their names, as given below, were included in a memorial which stood for many years near the entrance to the Police Department at the Town Hall." This is referring to the Salford Corporation memorial.  |
