He was 27 years of age, and was educated at Stowell Memorial School, Salford, and Lower Moseley-street, Manchester. He joined the Forces three years ago and had been in France 12 months. Before joining the Colours he was a clerk on the Manchester Exchange for Messrs. In civilian life he had worked as a colour mixer.He was appointed Lance Corporal on the 22nd March 1916,due to sickness Squire was discharged on the 1st July 1916. He was working as a railway clerk. Father - Charles Mother - Ellen Siblings - Herbert and Charles. Ravenna War Cemetery contains 955 Commonwealth burials of the Second World War, 63 of them unidentified. There are also 33 First World War burials, 30 of them brought in from Gradisca Communal Cemetery in 1973, the others from communal cemeteries at Arzigano, Fano and Monterosso al Mare. Among those buried in the cemetery are 33 men of the Jewish Infantry Brigade Group which was formed in September 1944, chiefly by volunteers from Palestine; the burials at Ravenna form the largest concentration of casualties from the Brigade.
