Hello All,
I am looking for any information as to the various company's of the Salford Home Guard during WW2.
In particular, I would like to know which company would have been located in the Regent Road area.
Regards

Chatby, I could not find anything giving section/battalion or coy information in the papers so I asked for anything that may have been in the archives. Due to a shortage of staff the lady had a quick look and returned with a box full of information on C battalion who were stationed at the town hall (zone 3). Here is a glimpse at the sort of info that may be archived. Minute books:

A book showing what skills each of the ex-service men had acquired during their time in the forces.

I am not sure if C battalion (zone 3) covered as far as the Regent Road area. I did see mention of Cross Lane and some areas of Ordsall. I hope to investigate further when I go to the library next week.
