Residence 61 Brideoak St, Cheetham, M/C Appearance Aged 20 years and 9 months. Fresh complexion, blue/grey eyes, fair hair. 5 foot 1 and 3/4 inches tall, 34 inch chest, expanding 2 and 1/2 inches. Scars over left and right eyebrows, mole on right elbow.
Death 9 July 1916 Age: 21

Son of the late William and Sarah Deakin, of 63, Brideoak St., Cheetham, Manchester.
Employed as a Clerk. No known grave.
Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 4 A.
These poor lads were so tiny, due to the atrocious diet that was available to the working people at that time.
