The picture below hangs in Broughton House, Salford, the last remaining home for ex-servicemen in the North West. Charlie Fox was the first man to become a patient there on 7th May 1917. Charles remained at the home until he died in 1943. Charles at Broughton House. There are three medal cards for a Charles Fox (presuming he did not have a middle name). Is there anyway to find which belongs to this Charles?

It was originally believed that Charlie served with the Manchester Regiment.
After receiving a few clues from the curator of the Broughton House Museum we are now 99% sure that Charlie was Private, Y811, Charles Robert Fox of the King's Royal Rifles. We have his service record, medal index card and silver war badge entry, these have all been sent to the curator at Broughton House.
