Hello all, I know I am asking somewhat of a long shot to members of this forum, but i would appreciate it if anybody could indentify any of the soilders on the enclosed picture. The man seated extreme right of the picture is my great uncle Pte. 1493 Thomas Barrow, died of wounds sustained during the Galipolli campaign 14-7-15. As my great uncle was a member of the Eccles & Patricroft company, no doubt these were also from the same district. One could well be his mate Pte. 1211 James Bowden wounded in early June 1915, hospitalised in Malta before being sent home to England. James Bowden died in 1929. I am not exactly sure when this photo was taken, there was no indication on the back of the picture. It could well have been taken at an annual camp or possibly at Littleborough prior to their embarkation to Egypt. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Chatby P.S. A copy of this has also been put on the Manchester Regiment Group Forum Attachments:

Mack, Thanks for the reply If it's not too much trouble, I wonder if it would be possible for you to send me the article ? I also have a clip from the EPJ dated July 1915 listing the C company casualties. I have enclosed a clipping from the EPJ dated 4 June 1915 with regard to the wounding of James Bowden. I have also a follow up article about Jim Bowden that was published the following week. Regards Chatby Attachments:
